What Our Guests Say

“Fabulous! Over the top!”

Five stars aren’t enough for this fantastic place right on the beach. Too many really great features to list them all but here are some that made our three-generation holiday for 16 family members the best ever: *child proof and child friendly. Swimming pool has a wonderful shallow “little kids end” so even the baby could splash around. Loads of pool toys to keep older kids occupied. Even the beach was kid-friendly–extremely shallow and placid waters meant no worries about dangerous waves or kids getting in too deep. Tv room had Xbox games for after dinner fun. High hairs and cribs available and set up for our arrival. *marvelous friendly staff. Luis kept the coolers and mixed drinks coming, suggesting terrific concoctions before we even knew we were thirsty. Chef Manuel and his crew shopped for and prepared a magnificent sit-down breakfast every morning followed by lunches, snacks and dinner all cooked to order. His specialty is Mexican cuisine but he had worked in a steakhouse previously so be sure to ask for his great homemade french fries. * plenty of space. Four en-suite spacious bedrooms with marble baths and walk in showers, plus a great loft with ocean-front balcony that had two additional single beds and sofas. So there was never any feeling of being cramped. Two of the bedrooms have both a king bed and a queen bed — just the ticket mom, dad and kids. * Great very, very quiet location. The house is right next to a small hotel that hosted a noisy wedding our first night at the Villa. After that we could almost believe that we were alone on out deserted island–only the sound of waves. Nothing commercial in the area so if you crave the glitzy club scene, this is not the place for you. That said, our gang found Soliman not too far from water park, architectural ruins, mega-grocery store and Tulum. We ran out of time before visiting cenotes in the area. * lots of toys- kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gear for the beach. Sound system. Pool light show. Large tv with Seattle (?) cable, premium channels and games. Wifi. *. Great doing business with Barbara and Chris. Payment schedule handled quickly and in the specified installments. Deposit was returned within the week of our departure without any hassle. Barbara helped us set up transfers from airport with Namaste Transport. We all want to return and will definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for an over-the-too vacation. Much more to rave about at VV!

“An amazing property with a professional staff”

This place surpassed my expectations. The pictures do not do it justice it is beautiful inside and out. The staff is amazing the reviews do not exaggerate. The food is top notch thanks again Manuel and your chefs. From the 1st night we arrived late and had the most amazing mole waiting for us, to the daily chips and guacamole. The breakfast nachos as we called them are a must they are called chilaquiles. The fish tacos and chicken fajitas. the pancakes best ever and the fruit platters well you will have to wait and see. We were also treated to some of the best Steak and Lobster. And I grew up on Maine Lobster so I know my Lobster. You will not go wrong with the food Manuel and his staff goes out of their way to please you. Don’t forget to ask for his secret orange sauce the green is good too and if you want it hotter he will do that too. Ok now props to Luis the bartender I am from Las Vegas and he can come teach these bartenders a thing are too. The whole staff can teach some hospitality as I was in the business for years and this staff was amazing. Luis you tell him what you like and don’t like and before you know it you have the most amazing drink in your hand. It usually has something to do with the blender. A must try as I called it was the chocolate banana shake. He will know what you mean and it is for the grown ups, sure he can make a kid version. Now I don’t drink Strawberries but heard he made a slushy Strawberry drink that was awesome. i brought some of my own Rum just because the don’t sell Blue Chair Bay in Mexico. i had Vanilla he noticed I liked vanilla and made some kind of vanilla slushy drink to die for. The massages were great well worth it. Suzy I think was the house keepers name. Very friendly and helpful. She also did some laundry for some of the others and steamed some cloths for an event we needed them for. Cleaned the entire house daily and never in the way. The pool was always clean and the beach sand was raked which makes it easier to walk on. The inside is so beautiful. The activities are very fun. You do want water socks. There are small rocks and coral you steep on in the water. And one side note for anyone that might be worrying we felt very safe at all time. I don’t even think the doors got locked when we went to bed. Ok maybe not the best ideal but they do have 24 hr guards right before you get to the house, by the Hotel. Best vacation ever. Now where is Manuel and Luis I am hungry and thirsty.

“Stunning villa on a peaceful beach”

I just returned home from a fantastic week at Villa Vidorra. I went there with a family group of 12: 2 of my sisters, spouses and all our grown children (2 teenagers and the other 5 in their 20’s)–all of us loved the Villa and had a great time! The kitchen staff were amazing with preparing 3 delicious meals a day plus great cocktails. The owners of the villa are extremely helpful and arranged massages for all of us (highly recommended) as well as an all day excursion with Riviera Adventours, which was great fun! The house is brand new and immaculate and everything from the construction and bathrooms to all the furniture is in great taste and very high quality. I would highly recommend this villa!

“Exceeds family expectations! Ages 1 to 80”

Villa Vidorra on Soliman Bay made life-long memories for our 15 extended family members that arrived from Montana, Colorado and Texas. As senior member, I have never in my long life, experienced better/friendly service. The food was superb, beautifully presented and individually adapted to the tastes and needs of individuals. The housekeeping was immaculate, the pool clean and inviting. Multicolored pool lights enhance parties and our impromptu hermit crab races. Sitting in a beach chair, shaded by tropical vegetation, I watched the family make castles and animal figures from clean sand, wade in gentle surf, snorkel for hours in the quarter-mile bay from beach to breakers, and paddle small craft provided by the Villa. This place felt like a private tropical home away from home, except here the staff kept bringing tasty cool drinks. How warm and relaxing! There was easy access to excitement; floating in Cenotes, swimming with sea turtles, drifting through wild marshes, and exploring Mayan ruins. The luxurious Villa’s website photos caused great expectations; but reality exceeded expectations. I won’t forget the beautiful bovida ceilings, circular stair case, finished stone work and the views from every room. Oh, what a memorable family vacation!

“Villa Vidorra is the perfect destination!”

We had the most wonderful vacation at Villa Vidorra at Soliman Bay. The house was spacious and it accommodated our family of eight with room to spare. The furnishings and decor were beautiful. The beds and linens were very high quality. When you stepped outside, the pool and landscaping was so beautiful and inviting. The path beyond led you to the pristine beach with crystal blue water and comfortable lounge chairs. We also loved the hammocks in the deep shade. A couple of memories we took home were having lunch at Chamicos beach shack at the southend of our bay. Also, driving to a little market, 7 minutes north in the quaint town of Chemuyil and with a fresh daily homemade tortillas store. The house was kept immaculate and fresh beach towels were always available. We enjoyed the paddle board and kayaks (2 singles & 1 double), and the snorkeling equipment. The trip unfolded so smoothly, it was fantastic for all ages from 73 to 3. Amazing vacation!

“Abolutely the best!”

This house and Tulum/Soliman Bay are the best. I do not believe that I could possibly compliment Chris(the owner), Leo(chef), and the rest of the staff to the extent they all deserve. They took care of our every need. The house accommodated our large family group extremely well. It would also be great for multiple families and a couples trip. We really enjoy getting out on the water in places like this, but even I have to admit, I could have pretty much just hung around the house the entire week. It was so nice, and the service left nothing to be desired. My only caution is to be prepared to work off a few extra pounds when you return home! The beach is also beautiful and sandy with wonderful snorkeling out on the reef.
I highly recommend Casa Cenote which is only five minutes to the south. There is a dive/fishing charter shop and a cantina right cross the street from it on the beach side of the road. You can’t miss it. Several members of our crew had never been scuba diving. Miguel, the owner of the shop, is a master cave dive instructor. He provided about 20-30 minutes of instruction and accompanied them on a cenote dive. Anyone who has ever wanted to get a feel for scuba should take the opportunity to do this! My 12 year old loved it! Miguel also runs 2 fishing boats at that same location which I also highly recommend. We caught very nice Mahi Mahi and had plenty for us to take back to house for Leo to cook for dinner that night with enough left over for Miguel’s helpers and for the restarant to serve to some of their patrons. As I mentioned, all that is in one location, and at one point, we had members of our crew diving, snokeling, fishing, beer drinking, eating-all going on at the same time. Something for everyone! We will definitely return to this place, and particularly this house.
